U.S. 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment – «Pair of Dice»

The 506th parachute infantry regiment (506th PIR) was an airborne light infantry regiment of the U.S. army during WWII with the nickname «Currahees». 1943 the regiment became part of the 101st airborne division ♠ and participated at important operations: operation overlord (D-Day), operation market garden and battle of the bulge.
