Lucky Strike – By Mothers of WWII

Full soft pack of 20 cigarettes with inner foil wrapping, cellophane wrapper and a tricolored free of tax or taxpaid stamp on the top which was added to cigarette packs that had the tax paid by the manufacturer for government channels, such as military or veterans' organizations. With the wording «Tax Exempt. For Use Of U.S. Not For Sale. Donated thru V.A. by Mothers of World War 2».

Lucky Strike cigarette pack donated to a U.S. veteran through the Veterans Administration by the organization «Mothers of World War 2». The note on the tax stamp suggests the pack was given post-WWII, likely in the late 1940s, as part of efforts to support returning servicemen in V.A. hospitals.
