Thorens – US Air Force Egypt 1944

Wartime Thorens lighter engraved with the pyramids and Sphinx of Giza beneath the inscription «Egypt, 1944», evoking the North African campaign and the presence of Allied troops stationed there during the later stages of the war. The reverse is engraved with the name «J.R. Paulsen» above the Army Air Forces insignia with decorative ornamentation.
