605th TRANS CO ADS – «Phu Loi»

The 605th Transportation Company (Aviation Direct Support) was responsible for maintaining and supporting Army aviation units, ensuring helicopters remained operational in demanding combat conditions. Stationed at Phu Loi, a major U.S. base north of Saigon, the unit played a vital role in sustaining airmobile missions, including troop transport, medical evacuation, and logistical resupply. The iconic Huey helicopter depicted on the lighter symbolizes the backbone of U.S. operations in Vietnam, where mobility, rapid deployment, and air support were essential to combat effectiveness.
