90th TAC FTR SQ – «Pair-O-Dice»

The 90th Tactical Fighter Squadron deployed to Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War, flying the North American F-100 Super Sabre from Bien Hoa Air Base, South Vietnam. One of the oldest fighter squadrons in the U.S. Air Force, tracing its lineage to 1917, the 90th became one of the principal F-100 Super Sabre units at Bien Hoa, flying thousands of combat sorties in direct support of U.S., South Vietnamese, Australian, and Korean ground forces. By 1969, the squadron was conducting close air support, armed reconnaissance, interdiction, and strike missions throughout South Vietnam and along the Cambodian border. Known by its distinctive «Pair-O-Dice» emblem, the 90th earned a reputation for aggressive combat operation.
