Charlie Battery – Ken Brott

Following the Tet Offensive and the Battle of Khe Sanh, Charlie Battery, 3rd Battalion, 13th Marines, continued to provide artillery support for Marine and Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) forces throughout northern I Corps during 1968–1969. Operating from a succession of fire support bases in Quảng Trị and Thừa Thiên provinces, the battery supported operations along the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and Highway 1 and helped counter North Vietnamese Army infiltration.


Zippo retaining the standard Charlie Battery factory engraving, personalized in Vietnam with the owner’s name, «KEN BROTT», and the inscription «VIETNAM 68–69». Accompanied by two period photographs of Ken Brott and his original U.S. Marine Corps identification tag (dog tag).
