The Military Assistance Command, Vietnam – Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG) was a highly classified U.S. special operations task force active from 1964 to 1972. Its reconnaissance teams conducted covert missions, intelligence gathering, and cross-border operations in Laos and Cambodia, often targeting the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
