U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Seven – NMCB-7

Vietnam Zippo factory engraved on the front with the Seabees insignia of the U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Seven. The reverse side features an engraved outline map of South Vietnam with the country labeled «SOUTH VIETNAM» and the principal operational locations of the battalion listed vertically: «DONG HA», «HUE», «PHU-BAI», «DA NANG», «CHU LAI», «SAIGON», «CAM RANH», «GO CONG» and «SOC TRANG».


During the Vietnam War, NMCB-7 was one of the Navy’s principal Seabee units, constructing airfields, base camps, hospitals, and roads under combat conditions throughout South Vietnam.
