Coastal Division 13 served as part of Coastal Squadron One during the Vietnam War. Operating fast patrol craft under Operation Market Time, the division conducted coastal surveillance and maritime interdiction missions along the South Vietnamese coastline. Its primary role was to prevent the infiltration of enemy personnel, weapons, and supplies by sea, contributing to the U.S. Navy’s efforts to secure coastal waters and disrupt North Vietnamese supply routes.
