USO Texas – Victory Dinner 1942

The United Service Organizations (USO) was established in 1941 to provide morale and recreational support for members of the U.S. Armed Forces during WWII. Through entertainment programs, social clubs, dances, and «Victory Dinners», the USO became an important symbol of home-front support for American servicemen stationed both in the United States and overseas. Celebrities, musicians, and volunteers participated in countless events organized to boost troop morale throughout the war years.
